Privacy
Short version: questions are public, your profile never leaves your browser, and there are no cookies or accounts.
What you ask is public
Every new question and its answer get their own page, can show up on the front-page ticker, and can be shared and found. So keep names, addresses and anything private out of your questions.
What we store
- Questions and answers: the text of each page, plus how often it was asked and viewed.
- Votes: a random ID your browser made up, your vote, and when. Not your name.
- Your IP address, in memory for up to a day, only to stop spam. It isn't written to the database. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs for a short time.
What stays in your browser
My meter (your age, sex, country, fitness, smoking and target) and your log live in your browser's local storage. They are never sent to us: "what it costs you" is worked out on your device. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.
The AI
New questions are sent to Google's Gemini to be priced. Only the question goes, nothing about you.
What we don't do
No cookies, no accounts, no ads. We don't sell data, and never to insurers.
